Building a business is tough, maintaining and keeping old and new clients coming back is even tougher; but having imagination and creativity with your products will not only impress your customers, but you will earn respect and recognition for your originality and hard work. From my experiences in life, and here at ImagePro, I have learned that presentation is critical in selling your images. Trust me; there is a big difference between trying to sell a photograph in a plain white envelope, and putting the same image into a nice framed layout.

You want to add value to your client’s photos, and increase profit margin, so why not present your prints in nice looking TAP mounts, frames, or albums. There is a mount for any occasion. For instance, TAP’s Crayon for school events, or MyClass with space on the back for autographs from friends. They also make budget mounts, certificate holders, proofing, customized folders, photo galleries, top flight, deluxe preview, wallet packaging… You name it, TAP does it!

I am a mother of two young children, and I am a fanatic when it comes to taking pictures of them. I take my babies to photo studios for any occasion to catch the special moments in their lives. I remember one occasion when we had a family portrait that I was not convinced on purchasing. While I was deciding, the photographer showed me the print in a nice wooden frame, giving a completely different look to the photo. Even though I knew it was the same exact photo, at that instant, I was sold. A frame for a picture is like make-up for a woman, or ornaments and lights on a Christmas tree - they give it life.

TAP also makes affordable, gorgeous looking albums. The Premira album, with optional windowed cover, includes the Slip-Lock™ page system allows you to mount your photographs outside the album and insert the pages in any order. The Bella and Allure albums are also provided in multiple styles, and perfect for any event.

Our most common TAP mounts double as our most economical - the PF-16’s, the PF-20’s, the Buckeyes, and the Whitehouse designs. TAP also makes mounts for seasonal events, such as the Santa or Holiday mount, so be sure to check in for upcoming holidays!

I have many clients that are event photographers using a Sony SnapLab printer, moving from place to place as a mobile studio. I have helped them increase their revenue greatly using these inexpensive mounts. For example, a case of PF-16’s in 4x6 will get you 500 mount frames for about $120. As an easy baseline or upsell, imagine the opportunities to increase profit margin. A .30c mount and a .49c photo can easily turn your operation into a more attractive and lucrative business.

I had a client who was printing for his customers without any packaging; they would just leave the store with them in a bag or their hands. I shared with him a story on how I used to purchase yearly school photos for my children, until my daughter brought home her $80 package of photos, ruined by scuffs and scratches that could have been prevented by better packaging. He now buys cases of TAP mounts monthly, not only to increase value by presentation, but to also protect his clients’ investments.

It has always my pleasure to help and serve you guys. I hope that with this article, I have helped you realize how important adding presentation and protection to your prints, especially at the affordability TAP provides.
